She also received a motivational push from her husband and signed up for the classes needed to sharpen her skills. It was the introduction to cake decorating class that solidified her love and desire for the craft. Queene Cakes was born from that love and founded in 2013. Her business continues to grow each and every year.

Paula has traveled the world as a result of being the product of a military family. She has always wanted to be a business owner. She earned her MBA in 2015 and took over Phat Wings in 2018 where she has always loved its simple concept and great taste in food. Paula continues to grow the brand daily.

Derrick is a certified personal trainer working in the DFW area. He is a former collegiate athlete and has 7 years experience coaching football. He also has 5 years of experience with specialized training. Coach Dot specializes in speed training, vertical training, weight training, sports conditioning, and weight management.

Trent is father to a son, a DFW native, and a graduate of Southern Arkansas University. He established in January 2018, T-Strong Fitness stands for Tent - Standing Tall Running On New Grounds. The motto is \"Change one. Bless one.\" The goal is to change the mindset of another so that he/she can then be a blessing and change the mindset of someone else as well. Trent and his team specialize in speed, agility, weight loss and gain. He also promotes nutrition and boxing. Trent also heads up the organization, Lifted Dreams. He and the T-Strong Fitness team help the community in a number of impactful and meaningful ways. He attributes his success to his faith in God, his dedication and hunger, as well as the support of his team. It is his desire to change the lives of others by being as helpful as possible. Donovan is originally from Indianola, Mississippi. He i the father of 2 beautiful girls; ages 10 & 2. He is a member of the prestigious Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Health and fitness was not a part of his background growing up but in 2009, he decided to improve his health and body. God gave Donovan a vision, passion and desire to help and inspire others; to impact the masses. He has been in business for 11 years and continues to inspire, motivate, and impact other lives.

Sean C. Wright is native to Dallas, TX, and earned a degree in English literature from University of North Texas. She is the author of 8 books. Actress Jessica Biel directed a short film based on her winning essay in 2010: Sodales (18 minutes). Sean lives in Lewisville with her husband and spirited Boston Terrier and chihuahua.

Alicia Windom is a native of Gould, AR and has resided in the Dallas area for the past 5 years by way of Kansas City, MO. She is an author, pastor, licensed realtor and holds a Bachelor\\\'s degree in Business Management and a Master\\\'s Degree in Business Administration. She is married to Efrem Windom and has 3 children and 2 nephews that she raised as her own and is a proud Mimi to Josiah, Aubrey, Kasyn & Kyrah.

Kariamu Kamau, was born on a Wednesday one February in St. Louis, Missouri. Born to a “stay at home wife” that always seemed to find additional means of money flow and “workaholic” husband who despite his level of education rose to very high ranks within the company he worked for, Kariamu got to see what hard work looked like from day one. Not to mention the fact that both parents are ordained, she also grew up in the church, quite literally. A graduate of Jennings Senior High School, she directly became a student at Fontbonne University where she would meet her husband, have their first child, a son, and graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. To this day, if you ask her, her greatest accomplishments are having her children. She now resides in DeSoto, Texas with her husband and their toddler daughter. And that son, well he is in his first year as a Junior at the University of Tyler at Texas.Graduating in May 2001, with a technology degree, was a true challenge for a black woman. And then September 11, 2001 happened and what was hard became impossible so Kariamu stuck to sales and didn’t tarry on the reality that she could not find a job in her field. After all, she already had a family to think about. Sales it was for the next 4 years, until she made a promise to her husband that if she changed jobs again, her next job would not be in sales but in the field of her degree. Needless to say, she kept her promise and now almost 15 years later, she is still in the technology industry as a UI Engineer (aka Web Developer).
